Moodus Give is a contactless donation kiosk that lets visitors give in seconds with a simple tap of a bank card or phone. Instead of a coin box, a giver chooses a fixed amount with one of three large push-buttons and confirms on an integrated payment terminal. The product has grown into a family of donation solutions deployed across thousands of sites in Europe, including museums, zoos, churches, mosques and hospitals.
JDT Engineering's contribution
JDT Engineering designed the controller electronics and embedded firmware at the heart of the kiosk across several hardware generations. The current board is built around an ATmega328 microcontroller and drives the donation buttons, status feedback and the interface to an integrated payment-terminal module that handles the actual contactless transaction.
Beyond the core board, JDT carried out mechanical-integration work for a payment terminal and a software integration with an external ECR payment terminal, extending the platform to new hardware.
The engagement is ongoing. JDT manages PCB fabrication and assembly through an overseas manufacturing partner, provides EMC-compliance design support so units meet European requirements, and performs field-failure and root-cause investigation for boards deployed at customer sites.
